THE LIVING LEGACY INSTITUTE IS AN EFFORT TO PROMULGATE THE LEGACY AND TEACHINGS OF THE LUBAVITCHER REBBE, RABBI MENACHEM M. SCHEERSON OF BLESSED MEMORY
The Living Legacy Institute is an effort to promulgate the legacy and teachings of the Lubavitcher Rebbe, Rabbi Menachem M. Schneerson, of blessed memory.

Through the publication of essays and discourses, the words of the Rebbe continue to speak to us, especially in these extraordinary and challenging times. These materials form the core of The Living Legacy Institute Curriculum.

This has been underscored by the celebration of Education and Sharing Day, USA, proclaimed annually by The President in honor of the Rebbe's birthday. Special events are also organized to call attention to the message of the Rebbe, who was awarded the Congressional Gold Medal in 1994.

An extraordinary effort was undertaken in March 2002 in honor of “Celebration 100” - marking the one-hundredth anniversary of the birth of the Rebbe. Significant events with world-renowned personalities and dignitaries have been held in connection with this effort at The White House, the US Capitol, The Pentagon, The US Library of Congress, the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts, The National Archives, The Andrew W. Mellon Auditorium, The Ronald Reagan International Center, and the Presidential Ballroom of the Capitol Hilton.

Similar programs are organized every few years, drawing leading representatives of the international Chabad-Lubavitch movement, from across the US and around the world - offering the opportunity for meaningful interaction with high level leaders from the worlds of government, academia, international affairs and Jewish organizational life.
